What began as fun in the Westerwald region has now become an international mission: The Wolpertinger Buam have made it - they'll be co-headlining the legendary Oktoberfest in Tulsa/USA in 2025!
For many, it's THE biggest Oktoberfest across the Atlantic, for us, it's the adventure of a lifetime - "RÄTÄTÄ around the world"!
With lederhosen in our luggage, an extra dose of brass band power, and our very special sense of humor at heart, we're flying across the pond to show America what real Oktoberfest fun is all about.
But how does the band itself see it? Skepticism, anticipation, or sheer chaos? Our man on the scene, Kalle Koma, asked around – and as always with the WOBUs, it was anything but sober ...

„How would you describe your mission? Crusade, invasion, or Boy Scout outing?“
Elsi
„We're clearly cultural ambassadors. Let's be honest: the Americans have no idea what's going on. The number one hit at the US Oktoberfest: the Duck Dance! Need I say more?“

„You'll be playing with the Dorfrockers. What's the collaboration like?“

„Oh dear, a touchy subject. At our last gig together in Switzerland, I drank Jägermeister with their drummer. It didn't end well for either of us.“

„Let me put it this way: My fellow Dorfrockers had an important TV performance the next day. It almost had to be canceled. Management wasn't amused.“
